Rafting the Hornád River under the supervision of an experienced instructor starts in Kysak, near the football field. Trebejov is home to the Trebejovská rapids, which are not difficult to navigate, and you will enjoy the ride in this rapid. There is a small hydroelectric power plant in Kostoľany nad Hornádom, and you need to carry the boat along the shore for about 100m. Just before the end of the rafting, there is the Ťahanovská wave, where you can enjoy a bit of adrenaline. If you accidentally capsize, nothing happens, the shipyard and therefore the end of the rafting are 200m from the wave. During the rafting, you will find sections with standing water where you need to paddle, gently flowing sections with beautiful views of the surrounding nature, but also rapids. In them, you need to avoid stones, but the water flow here is not fast. This section of the Hornád River is also suitable for beginners, we recommend rafting for children from 8 years of age.
If there is less water, the boat needs to be carried a shorter distance here and there.
