Hornád River (Kysak – Košice)

We start rafting down the Hornád River under the supervision of an experienced instructor in Kysak, near the football field. In Trebejov there is Trebejovská perej, its rafting is not difficult, you will enjoy the ride in this perej. In Kostoľany nad Hornádom there is a small hydroelectric power station, the boat has to be carried about 100m along the shore. Just before the end of the rafting there is the Ťahanovská wave, on which you can also enjoy a little adrenaline. If you accidentally capsize, nothing happens, the boathouse and therefore the end of the rafting is 200m from the wave. During the rafting you will find sections with standing water where you need to paddle, gently flowing sections with beautiful views of the surrounding nature but also rapids. In these you need to avoid rocks, but the water current is not fast. This section of the Hornád River is also suitable for beginners, we recommend paddling for children from 8 years of age.

If there is less water, the boat needs to be transferred here and there for a shorter stretch.
